Statement from Florida LambdaRail regarding FCC Net Neutrality Decision:

Yesterday the FCC removed net neutrality regulations, in place since 2015, that applied to commercial Internet Service Providers (ISPs) resulting in a new regulatory framework that allows ISPs to limit their customers’ Internet connections.

This action by the FCC does not change FLR’s responsibilities to our community:  We have never limited access to otherwise legal content and will never do so.

FLR remains committed to a free and open Internet experience for all of its users including faculty, students, staff and our affiliates.  Yesterday’s ruling from the FCC repealing net neutrality does not change FLR’s commitment to that ideal.
