FSU researcher finds polarized candidates can still represent constituents best

Researchers found politicians’ stances on issues such as immigration and abortion matter more to voters than their overarching ideologies.  Doug Ahler, an assistant professor of political science, and his colleague David Brockman of Stanford Graduate School of Business, recently had their findings published in the Journal of Politics.
